Our facilitators are not just guides; they are part of our collective exploration into self-actualization and growth. Through a combination of trauma-informed care training, psychotherapeutic techniques, and an understanding of group dynamics, we aim to address not just our shared experiences but also our unique personal histories and cultural backgrounds.

Every session is an opportunity to deepen our understanding of ourselves and each other. Through responsible self-disclosure and non-defensive exploration, we'll challenge ourselves and support each other in equal measure.

GROUP VIBES

The Rooted Curiosity Crew*, comprised of dedicated individuals who proudly identify as BIPOC and Queer, gathers together in the virtual realm bi-weekly for 8 sessions, punctuated by a beneficial 2-week interlude before the commencement of each new cohort. It's important to note that the group operates in a closed manner, ensuring that no additional members are incorporated after the inaugural session, fostering an environment of trust and continuity.

SESSION FLOW

During our engaging sessions, we will focus on a facilitated exploration of a wide range of diverse topics. Through guided discussions, interactive journaling exercises, calming meditation, and the sharing of personal experiences, we aim to cultivate personal growth, deeper connections, and a sense of curiosity within each participant.

DISCLAIMER

The Rooted Curiosity Crew is a peer-led support group, not a therapy group. It is facilitated by individuals who share similar experiences, but they are not licensed therapists. The group's focus is on providing mutual support and a sense of community, rather than professional therapy or treatment. Participation is voluntary and based on shared experiences, not individual therapy. While confidentiality and respect are upheld, they do not equate to the professional standards found in therapy. If members require professional help, they are encouraged to seek out licensed mental health professionals. The group complements but does not replace the need for professional mental health services.
